In all, there are 58 vehicle/tent campsites, divided between Kentucky Lake, the West Pond, and Alleyne Lake. Kentucky-Alleyne Provincial Park camping costs $18 per night. There are pit toilets but no shower or flushing toilets which are pretty typical of BC campgrounds. The campground is open from April to October and spots can be reserved.

Kentucky-Alleyne Provincial Park A Walk in the Park . I have talked about hiking near Merritt, BC before but focused on the trail network within the City of Merritt. Therefore this time I want to take you further afield to Kentucky-Alleyne Provincial Park. Our park destination is a mere 20 to 30 minute drive from downtown depending on traffic.

Kentucky-Alleyne Provincial Park is about a 3.5 hour drive from the city of Vancouver. Considering we were expecting it to be a bit of a hidden gem, it was surprisingly busy with lots of campers and day-trippers. However, with 58 sites, it isn't huge compared to the likes of Dinosaur Provincial Park in Alberta, which has over 120.
